When asked ‘why visit Iceland?’ My answer is simple. Iceland is a country of many wonders, Iceland is an amazing place to explore the land, meet new people and find adventure around every corner.
One of those places that will always draw you back because there is never enough time to explore it all. A destination that offers a mix of experiences for the solo traveler to the girls trip or adventure seeker. Whether you’re in search caves, glacier climbing, lagoon dipping or the ever so popular viewing of the Northern Lights, there is something for everyone. With so many reasons as to why visit Iceland, you’re able to find an interest or create your own experience, there will be something that you can enjoy.

Like most of my travels (and due to a slightly delayed flight), I hit the ground running when I landed in Iceland. Within 90 minutes of landing, I was on a bus headed to Southern Iceland! Glaciers, beaches, black sand and waterfalls. Take the day…or two or more and see all that you can because you’ll quickly realise all the reasons why you should have visited Iceland sooner. I marveled at some of the most breathtaking natural sceneries that reminded me of all the natural beauty the world has to offer.
Watching the sunrise over a crater, soaking in a lagoon and meeting a new travel buddy all before noon made a great start to my day. Roaming the Golden Circle after made for an incredible afternoon experience seeing some of the most notable sights. Ending backing in Reykjavik for dinner and the best city street walk under soft lights and fresh snow fall.
A must see travel spot…great for solo, nature and adventure travelers.

In Iceland, you can see the contours of the mountains wherever you go, and the swell of the hills, and always beyond that the horizon. And there’s this strange thing: you’re never sort of hidden; you always feel exposed in that landscape. But it makes it very beautiful as well. –Hannah Kent
