A summer day spent with friends, family, and amazing music at a local winery has been a great way to spend a day during my memorial weekend. Linganore Winery, located in Mt. Airy, MD, hosts its annual Caribbean Wine & Music Festival. Of course, the Linganore Wine Festival featured their full collection of in-house wines. Absolutely one of my favourite summer events of the year because it just feels like a big family reunion! Come and celebrate summer, birthdays, anniversaries, or reunions in this carefree place while the melody of live reggae takes over the background. Set up your tent with drinks and food that you love, or hit the many food truck vendors on site. In between relaxing, listening to music, dancing, or eating, make sure you visit the many vendors that range from art to jewellery and more. And most importantly, make sure you taste all the wine, grab a few for your group to enjoy at the fest and a few to take home…I mean, I bought 6 bottles lol.
I always love dancing the day away listening to live reggae with a wine glass in hand surrounded by great friends. Create your own mellow vibe, we did. Linganore Wine Festival was the ultimate kick back chill.
PACKING LIST: tent, chair, table, blanket, fan, water, food, sunscreen…to start
TIPS: Grab your tickets early because both dates go QUICKLY. And come early!!! The fest starts at 10a but people start arriving at 7a to secure the best spots close to the stage and under shade.
