An event that has become my ode to summer’s end: Afropunk Festival. An annual live music and art festival that originated in Brooklyn, New York, and has grown to Atlanta, Paris, London, and Johannesburg at various times of the year. Afropunk promotes diversity and inclusion of all while creating a safe space to showcase and celebrate all things black music, art, fashion, culture, and more.
Skipping 2019 Afropunk Brooklyn, I decided to throw it back to years before.
